HEY MATE!!!

Adipic acid had two carboxylic acid groups that
acts as hydrogen bond acceptors with water molecules as well as another hydrogen atom bonded to oxygen that is hydrogen bond donor to water molecules therefore it is much more soluble in water than hexanoic acid.

the chemical structure of hexanoic acid is available in chemical structure page of hexanoic acid, which specifies the molecular geometry I.e.;the spacial arrangement of atoms in the chemical formula of hexanoic acid and chemical bonds that hold the atoms together.
