there are many types of plastics each with their own chemical composition. they are all Polymers and contain carbon, but other than that, plastic are so diverse that not much can be said of all existing plastic.

many are hydrocarbon Chain, such as polyesterene, polypropylene and polyethylene. some includes nitrogen and or oxygen as well such as ABS, polycarbonate, PET, PBT, PTT, PEN, PGA, PLA, etc. some contain halogen like chlorine and fluorine which make them chemically less reactive. for instance, PTFE is only substance that doesn't react with fluoroantimonic acid because of the incredibly strong carbon - flourine bonds.
