Chemical Formula of the Acetic Acid or Vinegar = CH₃COOH
Chemical Formula of the Baking Soda = NaHCO₃
We know Acetic Acid is the Carboxylic acid which have all properties of the acid, so when it reacts with the Sodium Hydrogen carbonate then Carbon dioxide gas is evolved with the brisk effervescence.
∴ Reaction is ⇒
NaHCO₃ + CH₃COOH ⇒ CH₃COONa + H₂O + CO₂.
This Reaction can be detected by the presence of the Carbon dioxide since it dissolves with the brisks effervesce.
Hope it helps.
