Hydrogen sulphide is a covalent hydride chemically related to water(H2O) since oxygen and sulphur occur in the same periodic table group.... The purple sulphur bacteria and the green sulphur bacteria use hydrogen sulfide as electron donor in photosynthesis, thereby producing elemental sulfur.
