chemisorption is highly specific in nature as the molecules held in the solid surface through a chemical bond. For example oxygen is absorbed on metal due to oxide formation and also hydrogen absorbed on metals due to hydride formation .... They will only be absorbed on metal therefore , chemisorption specific .
