Evaporation causes cooling effect because the heat energy is abosorbed by surrounding particles.

Oxygen diffuses faster because the diffusion of gases is a unique property of them as the gaseous particles have high kinetic energy therefore they exhibit the random motion & move easily.

The movement of gas from high pressure to low pressure is called as diffusion.

A sponge has minute holes,in which air is trapped, when we press it,the air is expelled out and we are able to compress it.

Sponge is a porous solid.
