1. Humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air. If there is a lot of water vapor in the air, the humidity will be high.

2. Handheld extinguishers, which are commonly sold at hardware stores for use in the kitchen or garage, are pressurized with nitrogen or carbon dioxide (CO2) to propel a stream of fire-squelching agent to the fire.

3.Carbon dioxide reacts with calcium hydroxide solution to produce a white precipitate of calcium carbonate. Limewater is a solution of calcium hydroxide. If carbon dioxide is bubbled through limewater, the limewater turns milky or cloudy white.

4.Fine (smaller) particles, called PM2.5, are more dangerous because they can get into the deep parts of your lungs — or even into your blood.

What is Humidity?

\huge\bold\green{Answer}

The concentration of water vapour present in the air is known as humidity.

What are fire extinguishers? Which gas is used as a fire extinguisher ?

\huge\bold\green{Answer}

The Fire extinguisher is a device used by the fire brigade personal to control fire. Fire extinguishers generally cut off the supply of oxygen to control fire. Carbon Dioxide gas is used in Fire extinguisher as it takes away the heat and the oxygen.

\huge\bold\red{Question}

Write any two confirmation tests for carbon di oxide gas.

\huge\bold\green{Answer}

  • Carbon dioxide gas turns lime water milky when passed through it due to the formation of insoluble calcium carbonate.
  • Carbon dioxide reacts with calcium hydroxide solution to produce a white precipitate of calcium carbonate.

\huge\bold\red{Question}

How dust particles present in air are harmfull?

\huge\bold\green{Answer}

Dust particles play a role in many air pollution issues. These include deposition of heavy metals with toxic effects on plants, animals and humans.
