to use only the desirable component separation is required . separation of mixture is a necessary due to the following reasons.

  • 1. two separate useful components from a mixture. for example by churning milk , cream is separated from milk so that both the components can be used apprepriately .

  • two desirable or pure substance . for example in preparation of tea leaves are separated from brewed tea

method of separating mixture are

  • sieving
  • magnetic separation
  • sublimation
  • filtration
  • sedimentation
  • decantation
  • evaporation
