I think that the poem is humorous for several reasons. The first reason is that the premise of the poem itself is humorous, as the idea of a 99–year-old grandma defeating everyone, laughing ‘at her competitors’ and making them ‘quake in fear’ is amusing. Secondly, the poet has used hyperbole or exaggeration to describe all of Grandma’s achievements in a humorous manner.
