Answer:

He will buy 57 m material for trouser.

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of 1 m shirt material = Rs. 50 and cost of 1 m trouser material = Rs. 100

Assume that the length of shirt be 4x and trouser be 3x.

Now,

S.P. of one shirt material = 50 × 4x + 12/100 × 50 × 4x

= 200x + 12/100 × 200x

= 200x + 2400x

= 2600x

S.P. of one trouser material = 100 × 3x + 10/100 × 100 × 3x

= 300x + 1/10 × 300x

= 300x + 30x

= 330x

As per given condition,

→ 2600x + 330x = 55400

→ 2930x = 55400

→ x = 18.9 ~ 19

Hence,

  • shirt = 4x = 19(4) = 76 m
  • trouser = 3x = 19(3) = 57 m
