TOTAL MILK =

5 \times \frac{1}{3} \: l

  = \frac{16}{3} \: l

AMOUNT OF MILK CONSUMED =

3 \times \frac{1}{7} \: l

  = \frac{22}{7} \: l

LEFTOVER MILK =

{ \frac{16}{3} - \frac{22}{7} \ } \: l

 = \frac{16 \times 7 + 22 \times 3}{21} \: l

 = \frac{112 + 66}{21} \: l

 = \frac{178}{21} \: l

Step-by-step explanation:

milk consume 3 1/7=22/7

total milk 5 1/3=16/3

milk left=total amount of milk-milk brought by chetana =16/3-22/7=112/21-66/21

=46/21=2.23 litre
