The chief Seattle’s speech is one of the most beautiful soeaches ever made on nature . In this speech , Chief talks about the deal that he has to make with the Governer forcefully. He explains about the sorrows of his men when the nature stops to side them. He tells about the sufferings of his men, how they are awaiting their death as patiently as a deer waits for the hunter to shoot it for the last time. He further tells that they have lost hope and there seems no star of hope above the red man’s horizon.
All that he wishes for is that the white leave red men to visit their ancestors graves and mourn over their untimely death. He is so good and simple that he addressed the white men as his ‘brothers’ even after they treated’em so badly and mercilessly. He has left everything to his fate. He also tells that there is no god because if he existed, he wouldn’t have ever left his red children so helpless. He admitted the fact that their end is very near. He was ready to hand his and his people’s lives to King George. He has almost left the hope to be free and happy again.
