velocity v = u + at

v = 0 + 9.8*5

v = 49 m/s

K.E. = 0.5 m v^2

= 0.5 * 1 *49*49 = 1200.5 Joules

Here ,

Mass of the stone = 1 kg.

Initial velocity of the stone = u = 0.

Acceleration = 10 m/s²

Time = 5 seconds

Finding final velocity of the stone with the help of the relation => v = u+at

v = 0 + 10×5

v = 50 m/s

Finding the kinetic energy of the stone at its instant speed :

Kinetic Energy = ½ mv²

= ½ × 1 × 50² = 1250 J

The required kinetic energy possessed by the stone at its instant speed is 1250 J.
