Answer:

Child labour is the illegal involvement of the child in different fields. In modern time it has become a common problem in developing countries. Child labour is an act which affects a child mentally and physically as well. Due to involvements in such act, they deprived of schooling. They lost their mental growth from the early stage of life. It has been seen that most of the child labours in India are from those families who live below the poverty line. In this world where the prices of different essential commodities are jumping day by day, they cannot feed their children without sending or deputing them to work. A poor family needs financial assistance from their child for their daily breed.

Thus they consider it better to send their children to work rather than inspiring them to get a formal education. So it can be said that child labour in India is responsible for the low literacy rate in some backward areas. There are different laws in the Indian constitution to stop child labours, still, thousands of children are working or involved in the act of child labours. It is not possible for the government to stop child labour in India unless and until the parents become conscious. So awareness needs to be spread among the parents of financially weak families to send their children to school so that they can become an asset for the country in future.
