When I was really little, I wanted to become a flight attendant, so that I could fly to other countries and meet different cultures and backgrounds. So, studying tourism became a way of achieving my childhood dream. I also didn’t want to be one of those people who work at a job they hate, day after day, only for economic reasons. I wanted to do something that would challenge me every day and not make me regret choosing it.

Besides, a tourism student has a big diversity of career options. We can work in a fancy hotel or in a more adventurous environment. We can do whatever suits our personality and what we feel comfortable with. Actually, what attracted me the most in this course was the diversity of subjects that we would be studying because trying to decide what you’re going to do, right after leaving high school, is not easy.

For me it’s very important to make people happy and satisfied. Tourism is an industry of experiences and everyone has their own personal way of experiencing those special moments that we, as tourism experts, can provide them. By studying tourism and doing the best I can, I will be able to grant them an experience for life and not just some material thing that they can buy at the supermarket.
