Indian parents (like parents in any other country) want their kids to be successful in the life. Their approach is different as compared to parents in western countries as they are more emotional. They don't want their kids to see harsh realities of the world at early age. Many of the kids take advantage of this and remain dependent on their parents for long time. While approach of parents in western countries is totally opposite, they think sooner kids learn about real life, better it is for them. Both approaches have pros and cons
