Children of poor families are deprived of education and set out to work because of the following reasons:

  • The poor people just have the focus on surviving each day, they do not have much money to fulfill their desires, education to them seems to be unnecessary as compared to the basic necessities of life
  • The poor families think that if all the members of the family would start working then they would earn more and they will not have to sleep with an empty stomach, so they encourage their children to work at an early age.
  • When a child is deprived from education right from a small age, it is natural that he would never try to study afterwards.
  • These poor children find education to be an unnecessary in their lives, because firstly they want to fill their stomachs with food, have clothes on their bodies and for their families even.
  • These children are really weak, malnutritioned and do not want to study, instead they want to earn some money so that they can at least get the basic amenities/ necessities.
