Chintoo wanted a certain type of toy to give to all his friends.He bought 16 toys at rupees 50 per toy. The next day he returned with enough money to buy 14 more toys.But the price had risen by 40%.How many toys could he buy?​

Answer: 10 toys.

Amount of money Chintoo returned with = Rs (14x50) = Rs 700
Initial Price of the toy = Rs. 50
Increase in price = 40% of Rs 50 = (40/100)x50= Rs. 20
Therefore, the increased price = Initial Price+ Increase in Price = Rs. (50+20)= Rs. 70
Amount of Toys Chintoo can buy for 2nd time= 700/70= 10 toys
