1 kg 976 g of ghee will be left.

• Given,

Quantity of ghee bought by Chitra = 10 kg 35 g

Quantity of ghee used by her for preparing sweets = 8 kg 59 g

• Now, 1 kg = 1000 g

∴  10 kg 35 g = (10 × 1000 g) + 35 g

= 10,000 g + 35 g

= 10035 g

Therefore, quantity of ghee bought by Chitra = 10035 g

• Also, 8 kg 59 g = (8 × 1000 g) + 59 g

= 8000 g + 59 g

= 8059 g

Therefore, quantity of ghee used by Chitra for making sweets = 8059 g

• Quantity of ghee left = Quantity of ghee bought - Quantity of ghee used for making sweets

=> Quantity of ghee left = 10035 g - 8059 g = 1976 g

• Now, 1976 g = 1000 g + 976 g

We know that 1000 g = 1 kg

∴  1976 g = 1 kg 976 g

• Therefore, the amount of ghee left = 1 kg 976 g
