An aqueous solution of HydrogenChloride is what we know as thehydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acidhas a higher dissociation constant and is, therefore, a strong acid. It reactswith metals and salts to give various chlorides. For example, it reacts with zinc to form zinc chloride.
