Chlorine occurs in nature in the form of the isotopes
Cl 35 (atomic mass = 34.969 amu) and Cl 37 (atomic
mass = 36.966 amu) in the ratio 75.53% and 24.47%.
Calculate the atomic mass of chlorine.

Chlorine combines in the ratio 3:1 so atomic mass of chlorine will be 3×35(cl35) + 37(cl 37 )

Because it is in ratio 3:1 , 105+37/2 (becuase it is average) = 35.5 ATOMIC MASS OF CHLORINE IS 35.5
