Answer :-

Chloroflurocarbons CFCs:- Chlorofluorocarbons  are used  in last five or six decades as refrigerants within the vapor compression cycle to produce refrigerant and air-conditioning effects. In recent years it's been found that CFCs square measure most harmful to the atmosphere.

It has been tested that CFCs square measure a significant reason for depletion of the earth’s stratospheric layer and contribute to the atmospheric phenomenon (global warming).

Presently giant quantities of CFCs square measure getting used as refrigerants in an exceedingly variety of refrigerant and air-conditioning systems.

Though the refrigerant moves in an exceedingly closed cycle, there square measure innumerable leakages that escape to the atmosphere and cause destruction of the layer.

The most surprising truth concerning CFCs is that they need exceptionally long part life that, in sure cases, even extends to one hundred years.

This means that if fluorocarbon refrigerants square measure leaked within the atmosphere, they're going to keep depleting layer for consecutive 100 years to return.

Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are widely used as refrigerants. The reason that their use should be prohibited is that they destroy the ozone layer. The ozone layer provides the earth with protection against from harmful ultraviolet  rays generated from the sun. CFCs  addtionally warm the lower atmosphere of the earth, changing global temperatures. The earth's temperatures have been increasing steadily. This has led to adverse weather conditions such as the melting of glaciers, hurricanes, tsunamis and droughts. The increase in global temperature has led to the extinction of some animals.
