There were different capitals for the Chola empire in each period of their rule in Early Tamilakam. But as they inhabited mostly in the North of Tamilakam, the capitals were in surroundings of Nowadays' Kaveri Delta region.

Poompukar( Pukar nagaram)

Uraiyur ( present Woraiyur in Trichy)

Thiruvarur.

Gangai konda Cholapuram.
