One animal species that I think is interesting is the tiger.

• Their scientific name is Panthera Tigris with their status being endangered.
• One of the biggest challenges they are facing is that of extinction because of several reasons like hunting, destruction of habitats, etc.
• Because of the destruction of their habitats, they don't get enough food to sustain themselves. They either die or move to another place.
• The government has taken several actions to conserve its population. For example, the hunting of tigers has been banned and there are 50 tiger reserves in India. Project Tiger was started in April 1973 that has helped to increase their population to nearly 3900.
