Because productive activities are reduced to extremely straightforward actions carried out by several people throughout the entire system. Since they only perform one task at a time, these workers are highly specialized in what they do. Job specialization, however, can also occur in other organizational and academic settings. People might choose specialized academic pathways that will enable them to become experts in a certain topic.

Example for job specialization is :

Marcus is a mechanical engineer who works for a significant Detroit-based automaker. Marcus has been working in the development of engine technology and maintenance for ten years, and the corporation has heavily invested in his education, making Marcus a specialist in this area. Marcus has recently begun to show an interest in finance and has been attempting to seek for a job within the organization at the Finance Department.

Marcus is finding it challenging to change because his training and educational background have absolutely nothing to do with this area. He was advised by a career counsellor that he must obtain a degree in that field and begin employment in order to make this drastic adjustment he worked his way up the corporate ladder from the bottom.

As per above mentioned example it is not that efficient for Marcus  as it will be change of his stream from he trained  and it is also not effective because of lack of practice Marcus had .
