मोर हा सुंदर पक्षी आहे . मोर मला खूप आवडतो.

मोराला पाहताच मन आनंदित होते .त्याचे चमकदार निळे हिरवे अंग सुंदर दिसते. त्याच्या डोक्यावर चमकदार तुरा असतो . तो रुबाबात चालतो.

प्राचीन काळापासून मोर हा लोकप्रिय पक्षी आहे. मोर हे देवी सरस्वतीचे वाहन आहे . आपल्या देशातील चित्रकारांचाही तो आवडता पक्षी आहे.

कवींनीसुद्धा मोरावर खूप कविता लिहिल्या आहेत. मोर हा आपला राष्ट्रीय पक्षी आहे .

मोर आपल्या खूप उपयोगी पडतो . तो शेतकऱ्यांचा मित्र आहे. साप, उंदीर , बेडूक इत्यादी उपद्रवी प्राणांना मोर खातो . तो आपल्या बागांची, वनांची शोभा वाढवतो .

पाऊस सुरु झाला कि , मोर पिसारा फुलवून नाचतो . मला मोराचा नाच खूप आवडतो . मी नाचणाऱ्या मोराची खूप चित्रे जमवली आहेत .

This is a list of the bird species of India and includes extant and recently extinct species recorded within the political limits of the Republic of India as defined by the Indian government are known to have 1349 species as of 2019,[1] of which 78 are endemic to the country.[1] 212 species are globally threatened.[2] The Indian peafowl (Pavo cristatus) is the national bird of India.[3] This list does not cover species in Indian jurisdiction areas such as Dakshin Gangotri and oceanic species are delineated by an arbitrary cutoff distance. The list does not include fossil bird species or escapees from captivity.

This list's taxonomic treatment (designation and sequence of orders, families and species) and nomenclature (common and scientific names) follow the conventions of the IOC World Bird List, version 10.2. This list also uses British English throughout. Any bird names or other wording follows that convention.
