Given : In an office, the number of women wearing red sarees is twice that of those wearing blue sarees and the number of women wearing green sarees is 1 / 3 of the number of women wearing blue sarees.

the total number of women is 125 out of which 25 wore mixed coloured

sarees,

To Find : Percentage of women wore blue sarees

Solution:

Blue sarees  =  3B

Red sarees  = 6B          ( 2 * 3B)

Green  sarees  = B      ( 1/3  * 3B)

Mixed colour sarees = 25

Total = 125

Total = 3B + 6B + B + 25  = 125

=> 10B = 100

=> B = 10

Blue sarees  =  3B  = 30

Total = 125

percentage of women wore blue sarees = (30/125) * 100

= 24  %
