Solution :-

Let us assume that, Shopkeeper bought 1kg of Wheat at Rs.50 .

So,

→ CP of 1 kg of wheat = Rs.50

now,

→ Wheat he bought = 1000 gm

→ He cheats while selling = 5% = 1000 * 5/100 = 50gm .

then,

→ He sold = 950 gm at Rs.50 .

therefore,

→ He sold 950 gm wheat at = Rs.50

→ He sold 1 gm wheat at = (50/950)

→ He sold 1000 gm wheat at = (50/950) * 1000 ≈ Rs.52.63

hence,

→ His profit = SP of 1 kg wheat - CP of 1 kg wheat = 52.63 - 50 = Rs.2.63

→ Profit % = (Profit * 100) / CP = (2.63 * 100)/50 = 5.26% (Ans.)

His profit percentage was 5.26.
