To Find :   Number of  ways

Solution:

"SMUDGE

6 letters

Vowels   2  U E

Consonant  4  S  M  D  G

Make one group of vowels  as they come together

and two vowels in 1 group can be arranged in 2 ways

Now 1 group of vowels + 4  consonants

= 5

can be arranged in 5! ways

Total Ways = 2 * 5!    as  ( group of vowel can be arranged in 2 ways)

Hence = 2 * 120 = 240

There are 240 ways letters of the word "SMUDGE" be arranged such that the vowels always come together
