Answer:
The correct answer is-
A. (ii)slumber
B. (i)brier
C. (iii)betimes
Explanation:
This is from the poem The Sluggard. He writes, "Thus he wastes half his days, and his hours without number".Is this a relevant poem for today's youth? initially glance, this poem seems outdated, even archaic in how it's at life, work, and also the "sluggard" who sleeps his days away. I believe, however, that while this poem was written in 1715, when life was far more difficult and demanding, even for kids, that it's still relevant, even significant, today. i think this for variety of reasons, from the nightly news to my very own experiences. Our society has become a society of the many different opportunities and technologies that make life much easier than it wont to be. Additionally, there seems to be an aversion to diligence in many areas of society, especially hard labors just like the poet discusses, like maintaining an outsized garden and creating clothing. Many of us in today's society would avoid all those things for a far more relaxed and laid back lifestyle.
