Choose the longest continuous chain of carbon atoms, whether or not it contains multiple bonds. If there is a choice, choose the chain with more multiple bonds. Number from the end of a chain that is closest to a multiple bond. If there is a choice, the double bond gets priority

Choose the longest carbon chain which has functional group.
If there is no functional group , then choose the chain which has double or triple bonds.
If there are double as well as triple bonds in different chains of same compound , then give priority to double bond.
