the governer of glubbdubdrib was the head of a tribe of magicians.the members of this tribe married only among each other and not outside their community. the eldest in succession was tge governor or the prince. he had a noble palace, and a park thatwas about 3000 acres. the governor and his family were served and attended by servants of a somewhat unusual kind. the governor used his skills in necromancy to call whomsoever he pleased from tge dead people and commanded them to serve him for 24 hours, but, no longer than that. the other condition was that he could not call the same person up again in less than three months, except under very extraordinary conditions.he took care of gulliver.the latter lay at a private house as he was scared of spirits which were summoned by the governor in his palace. he gave permission to gulliver to call whomsoever he chose to namr in whatever number he chose to have.he had a choice to call anyone from the beginning of the world till date.he helped gulliver to converse with caesar, pompey, hannibal and brutus.thus we can say that the governor was a hospitable man with magical powers.
