one got=30
other got = 50

Yuhka: Thank you, Is it correct that one got 35 and other got 45?
vedanshi2: no
Yuhka: Thank you, Is the meaning of "Each child" one of them? The scores, therefore, between them should have 20 point difference. Is it a correct way of thinking?

Answer: Chris got 30 points and Bianca got 50 points.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of points in all in the spelling contest = 80 points

Number of points each child got more than 20 points

According to question,

Let the number of points Chris got be 'x'

Let the number of points Bianca got be 'x+20'

So, it becomes.

x+x+20=80\\\\2x+20=80\\\\2x=80-20\\\\2x=60\\\\x=\frac{60}{2}=30

Hence, Chris got 30 points and Bianca got 50 points.
