Comparing Script for Christmas Celebration or Function

Beginning the Function

A warm good evening/morning/afternoon to all of you present here on this auspicious day. And I want to welcome you all in the day when we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, forgive the guilty, welcome the unwanted, care for the ill, love your enemies, and do unto others as you would have done unto you.

May this year be more promising than the year before. Spread the happiness all around you! It’s Christmas, Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Welcoming the guests

We feel honored to have with us (the name goes here) sir/ madam you hardly need any introduction; you have made all of us proud by your distinguished work in numerous capacities. A man/ woman of distinct vision and a fountainhead of illuminating ideas.

An idol of knowledge and experience and inspiration to all of us. We welcome you to the special day. May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace, the gladness of Christmas give you hope, the warmth of Christmas grant you love. Merry Christmas.

Calling the musician on the stage

Ladies and gentleman, Christmas is all about celebration and now play and make a good cheer, because Christmas comes once a year, so a big round of applause for our band group.

After the performance: May the remembrance and celebration of the birth of the Lord bring us hope and give us the courage to continue serving all, especially the poor in our world.

Giving present or gift

The best way we can celebrate Christmas is by giving our gifts to Jesus. Gifts of love and thankfulness. It is a time when we can stop and remember those who are often forgotten. We can reach out to help those in need. We can show our thankfulness by racing out to those whose need is greater than ours. Hence I request today’s special guest (the name goes here) to come on the stage and felicitate our besties with gifts.

Thank you, sir…

Christmas means giving. The father gave his son, and the son gave his life, now without giving there is no true Christmas, and without sacrifice, there is no true worship.

Calling for dance

I think Christmas is about celebration and come on, on the inside everyone wants to dance. So, come on ladies and gentleman, dance from your heart and love the music, and the audience will love you in return.

(Jesus and Santa had a little conversation)

Jesus: Hey Santa! You’re lucky every Christmas!

Santa: But why? I’m the one giving gifts, not receiving.

Jesus: Because I’m the one celebrating my birthday. But people are looking for you, not me….

So guys, let us remind that this Christmas, let’s remember that we are celebrating not just gifts, food, or parties. But also Christ’s coming.

Here you can add more performance depending on your contents added beforehand.

Concluding the Function

It’s Christmas a season of joy, love, and peace. Let’s forget the pain, hatred, fear and worry and all the negative things that happened this year, not just for this day but forever… It’s time to move on. Forever and a day…

God thank you for all the blessings this year. Peace and Love everyone.

Merry Christmas!

How People Celebrate the Christmas

Christmas traditions are of several types. There are traditions of the church, traditions which are public celebrations and traditions that are kept by families. These traditions are different in different times, places, cultures and even families.

Traditions of the Church

The celebrations of Christmas is very important time for churches, where they have special services or celebrations and here are some of the ways that churches celebrate Christmas.

The Crip: It is a custom in many churches to set up a crib scene of the Nativity or birth of Jesus. Nativity (birthplace) can be large or they can be tiny enough which is from many different things including carved and painted wood, brightly colored ceramics (pottery), painted paper glued to boards, and mixtures of material with clay, wood, cloth, straw and metal used for different parts. The Advent wreath (flower) is a circle of leaves, usually pine boughs, ivy, and holly, with 4 (or sometimes 5) candles in it which is hung up in a church. The candles are lit on each Sunday in Advent, and the central candle is lit on Christmas morning. People decorate Churches with green branches and leaves, and many churches also have a Christmas tree.

Carols only by Candlelight: A popular tradition in many churches is the Carol Service which is often lit only by candles.

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas !

On this beautiful evening, I take immense pleasure to host this Christmas event. I can sense that this event is full of love and happiness. We gathered here to share our wishes with our loved ones to celebrate this day. Actually, our past days were not fruitful for us. This pandemic has caused a lot of problems in our lives. Many of us would have lost our loved ones or experienced the mental trauma caused by this pandemic. Thus, we take this opportunity to enjoy the small events in our life.

We have also organised many cultural events and performances to make this event more colourful. Also, we have our chief guest who is here to give us a thought provoking speech on 'Happiness and importance of family amidst the pandemic'. He is a renowned speaker and a famous counselor who participated in many seminars. We have also organised a mime show on the importance of Christmas event.

Once again, I wish you and your family a very happy christmas. May this christmas, bring you all the happiness and give all the good things to you.
