circles of radius 3.5 CM are cut out from a square piece of an aluminium sheet of side 28 cm find the total number of circles which can be made also find the area of aluminium sheet which got wasted

Circle: r = 3.5cm

Square: a = 28cm

Area of square = 28²

=784cm²

Area of circle = πr²

=22\7*3.5*3.5

=38.5cm²


Total no of circles that could be cutted = 784\38.5

= 20 circles could be cutted from the sheet

Remaining area of the sheet = Area of sheet - area of 20 circles

=784 - 20(38.5)

=784-770

= 14cm²
