Circulation of blood in aquatic vertebrates differ from the terrestrial vertebrates, because -

• The circulatory system is all about the transportation of the of oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood in the body.

• Now,the oxygenated blood is produced from the consumed oxygen from the external environment.

• The terrestrial vertebrates take oxygen from the air through their lungs and the aquatic invertebrates take oxygen from the water through their gills.

• That's why the lungs are included in the circulatory system of the terrestrial vertebrates and on the other hand, the gills are included in the circulatory system of the aquatic vertebrates.

• For this reason, the circulatory system of the terrestrial vertebrates are different from the aquatic vertebrates.
