Given that the circumference is 31.4 cm

Your question is how to find radius and area.

Apply the formula of finding circumference.
circumference = 2πr

But given that circumference = 31.4

So, 2πr = 31.4cm

Taking π as 3.14

=> 2 × 3.14 × r = 31.4

=> 6.28 × r = 31.4

Now, here 6.28 is multiplied with r, so when you will send it to RHS (Right hand side) then it will be divided

=> r = 31.4 ÷ 6.28

=> r = 5 cm.

Now, you can calculate the area by applying the formula.

Area of circle = πr²

=> area = 3.14 × 5 × 5

=> area = 78.5 cm²

Hope you understand
