GIVEN :

Circumference of a circle is 33 cm.

TO FIND :

  • Its area ?

FORMULAE :

  • A=πr^2
  • C=2πr

SOLUTION :

The circumference of the circle is 2\pi \: r

Here, C=33 cm

33 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times r \\  \\  r =  \frac{33 \times 7}{2 \times 22}  \\  \\ r = 5.25 \\

The area of the circle is a=\pi \: r {}^{2}

a =  \frac{22}{7}  \times (5.25) {}^{2}  \\  \\ a =   \frac{22}{7}  \times 27.5625 \\  \\ a = 86.625cm {}^{2}  \\  \\

The area of the circle is 86.625 square centimeter.

Question :

The circumference of the Circle is 33 cm. Find its area .

Given :

  • Circumference of circle = 33cm.

To find :

  • Area of the circle.

Solution :

 \boxed {\tt Circumference \: of \: circle = \: 2\pi r}

 : \implies \tt { 33 = 2\pi r}

 : \implies \tt {33 = 2\times  \dfrac {22}{7}\times r }

 : \implies \tt { 33 \times \dfrac {7}{22}  \times \dfrac {1}{2}= r }

 :\implies \bf { r = 5.25 cm}

\boxed {\tt Area \: of \: circle =\: \pi r^2 }

 : \implies \tt { Area = \frac {22}{7} \times {5.25}^2 }

 : \implies \bf {Area = 86.625cm^2 }
