Radius of the circle is 5 cm and Area is 78.5 cm²  whose circumference is 31.4 cm

Given:

  • Circumference of circle is 31.4 cm

To Find:

  • The radius of the circle
  • The area of the circle

Circle:

  • A circle is a shape in a plane such that all points are at equal distance ( called radius) from a fixed point ( called center )

Formulas:

Circumference of circle = 2πr

Area of circle = πr²

where r is radius of the circle and π ≈ 3.14

Step 1:

Use Circumference of circle  formula and solve for radius

2πr = 31.4

=> 2 * 3.14 * r = 31.4

=> r = 5  cm

Step 2:

Use area of circle (A)  formula and substitute radius = 5 cm

A = πr²

=>A= 31.4 (5)²

=> A= 78.5  cm²

Radius of the circle is 5 cm and Area is 78.5 cm²  whose circumference is 31.4 cm
