THE OUTBREAK OF REVOLUTION
5th May 1789- Louis XVI called together an assembly of all the estates to pass proposals for new taxes.
First and Second estate comprised of 300 members each whereas third estate had 600 members.
According to the on going principle, voting in the estate was like : 1 ESTATE = 1 VOTE.
But third estate demanded : 1PERSON = 1 VOTE.
This proposal couldn’t be agreed , 3rd estate walked out of the assembly.
20th June- Third estate assembled in the hall of an indoor tennis court in the ground of Versailles and declared themselves a National assembly and drafted a constitution for France that would limit the powers of monarch led by two famous people Mirabeau and Abbe Sliyes.Explanation:
