causes of epidemics : 1) The sudden change in surrounding environment can cause epidemics . because of such sudden change the number of pathogens can increase tremendously. it can also cause decrease in immunity. 2) The increase in number of infective agents like mosquito, rats , house fly's etc. the agents are responsible for major epidemics. 3) Contamination of drinking water and food can also cause epidemics. 4) genic change in DNA of infective agents like bacteria& virus can cause epidemics.
