Kosala was ultimately merged into Magadha when Vidudabha was Kosala's ruler. Ayodhya, Saketa, Banaras, and Sravasti were the chief cities of Kosala.

Answer:

Explanation:The rulers of Mahajanpads were more responsible because they thought about the safety and security of his people thus fortified the town and kept armies to protect his people from attack of other rulers. To pay salary to soldiers and  and other maintainances  he needed resources  so he collected taxes from his people and did not depend on gifts. The tax was very systematic collected by the officer appointed by the king.

i hope so this will work.
