City development is the result of Industrialization and urbanization.

But the ecology and environment have suffered greatly due to this.

''City development occurred everywhere at the expense of ecology and environment.''

- A very good example is the Bangalore city.

- Bengaluru also called Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka.

- A few years back the city was so green with many trees and parks.

- Now almost half of the plants have been cleared for the development of buildings.

- The weather of Bangalore used to be always cool, with clean and fresh air.

- But due to the city development, there is an increase in transport and building constructions leading to air pollution. The climate is gradually becoming hot.

- The amount of rainfall also gradually decreases over the years.

- The increase in waste leads to problems of soil pollution and water pollution.

Extension of the city line and building urban projects are one of the prerequisites of city development.

Deforestation is one of the essential activities that is undertaken during the city development in order to build modern infrastructure, which in a mass scale destroys natural environment and in a related way the pattern of ecology.

For example, when old houses with garden is converted into modern housing complex because of deplantation natural environment of the place gets completely depleted.
