Sapna had to sell the cotton to the trader because she has already taken loan from the trader but now she didn't have enough money to repay the loan so she was in debt if she did not sell it to the trader he would have taken the money by informal means

Answer:

Swapna had to sell her cotton to the trader instead of selling at the Kurnool market because

At the beginning of the cropping season, she had taken a loan of 2500/- on a high interest rate to buy seeds, pesticides, fertilizers etc.

Also, she was made to promise that she would sell all her cotton to the trader only.

Hope it helps. Pls mark as brainliest answer.
