Let the no. of books Jordana has = x

Let the no. of books Claire has = 1/5 x

According to question :

x + (1/5) x = 30

x + (x / 5) = 30

5x + x / 5 = 30

6x = 30 × 5

6x = 150

x = 150 / 6

x = 25

No. of books Jordana has = x = 25

No. of books Claire has = x/5 =25/5= 5
