The state of freedom is inherently equal among all people. The ability to control oneself.

But because what one person DOES with their freedom isn’t the same as another person’s there can’t be equality.

If someone decides to use their freedom to be an entrepreneur, another uses their freedom to work a menial paying job, and another person uses their freedom to do nothing and I mean literally nothing they’re not going to get the same things. If your definition of equality depends on the details like wealth, health, etc. then equality can’t exist.

If you acknowledge that on a fundamental level, as free persons, everybody has the same rights then freedom and equality don’t conflict.
