Regur soil is also known as black soil .regur soil is formed by the action of volcanic rock and lava flow.It can hold moisture . It is rich in calcium carbonate and lime.

Lateral soil developes in the high temperature and high rainfall .It is formed by leaching .Humus content of this soil is low . Crops grown in this soil are coffee ,coconut and tea plants.
