Clark's method is a process for the large-scale removal of temporary hardness from water. Slaked lime is itself a source of calcium ions (and hence hardness) so care must be taken to avoid adding an excess. Hardness of water can be removed by the following two methods: CLARK'S METHOD.

use detergents .they are generally ammonium or sulphonate salts of long chain carboxylic acids
