A Watershed is an area bounded by the divide line of water flow. Our water regimes are threatened resulting in the depletion of water resources. WATERSHED MANAGEMENT EMPHASIS SCIENTIFIC SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION IN ORDER TO INCREASE BIOMASS PRODUCTION..
The main aim of watershed management is to develop resources of land and water for use in a manner which will not cause any ecological imbalance.Besides ,increasing the biomass production, watershed management also mitigates droughts and floods and increases the life of the dams and reservoirs. Rainwater management within a microwater shed through water harvesting for groundwater recharge and recycling of water for various uses is the key to success in watershed management .
