DIAGONAL of square is equal to diameter = 16cm.

By Pythagoras a (side of square) = 8✓2cm

Area =

 {a}^{2}

 {(8 \sqrt{2)} }^{2}

= 128 sq.cm

Diagonal of the square = 2r= 2×8 cm= 16 cm.

Thus, side of the square=16/root2(Use Pythagoras theorem)

= 8root2

area of square= (8root2)^2

=128cm^2(ans)(option B)
